Why I Love Prophet Muhammad

Why I love Prophet Muhammad Rasool’Allah ﷺ ? Tears welled my eyes as I began this post.   I feel sad when I think of the Prophet. And I don’t know the reason for missing him so much. I always wished that I was born during his time. I wanted to see him how he looked. But, God knows best.

Prophet Muhammad Rasool’Allah ﷺ was the messenger of God (The Most HIgh). He was sent to the Arabs during the 7th century. The Arabs had fallen into sin and oppression. Therefore, God – The Most Holy gave Prophet Muhammad Rasool’Allah ﷺ   the Quran as the way of life for the people to follow.

There are many reasons for you to love the Prophet. I love him for the following reasons.

Why I love Prophet Muhammad – because of my Mother

I began to admire the Prophet Rasool’Allah ﷺ from young. My mother(Aminah) not only cherished me but she instilled the reason to love him. She told me stories about the Prophet. Being orphaned at an early age, I became very sensitive to the words of my mother. Her words are my law. My father passed away when I was a year old.

Once the Prophet went to a place called Taif to bring people to his faith. The people of Taif did not listen to the Prophet of his new religion. Therefore, they chased him away and pelted him with stones. It was a painful experience for the Prophet. However, Prophet Muhammad was a very patient man.

Blood oozed from his body. At that moment Angel Gabriel appeared to assist the Prophet Rasool’Allah ﷺ The Angel said that God was ready to destroy the people of Taif if Prophet agreed. Squashing all of them by the two mountains at both ends of their settlement was easy for God. The Prophet Rasool’Allah ﷺ did not wish to destroy the people of Taif. He was forgiving.

Once the Prophet Rasool’Allah ﷺ sold merchandise to a trader. The trader told the Prophet to wait for him so that he could bring his money from his home. However, he forgot about all this when the he returned home.

The next morning the trader remembered. He went to look for the Prophet. The Prophet Rasool’Allah ﷺ was sitting in the same spot waiting for the trader. Would you react to such issue in that manner?

In other words, the Prophet Rasool’Allah ﷺ trusted any strangers whole-heartedly.

There are many stories like the above which made me love the Prophet.

Why I love Prophet Muhammad – similarity in events

The prophet Muhammad Rasool’Allah ﷺ was an orphan. His father Abdullah died 6 months before he (Muhammad) was born. His mother’s name was Aminah. His uncle took care of him when his mother passed away.

I am an orphaned too. My father died 12 months after i was born. My mother (Aminah) cherished me. My uncle took care of my mother and me.

I wondered why there is a similarity between the Prophet story and mine? I took that in a good sense because God loves the Prophet. So I took that a positive sense that God loves me too. :)

93:3 “Thy Guardian Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased “

As I link my story with the Prophet, my feelings towards him bloomed. From admiration to love. I feel Prophet is so close to me despite he had lived 1400 years ago!

Why I love Prophet Muhammad – God loves Muhammad

God loves those who do good. If you wished to become good, follow the commandment of God to mankind: the Quran.

Arab prayed to idols. It was so rampant that a messenger was brought up from the Quraish clan. It was Muhammad.  At the age of forty, Angel Gabriel appeared and told him the message. God commanded the Prophet to deliver the message that was given to him.

One infamous verse of the Quran is this :

3:31 Say ” If you love God then follow me so God will love you and forgive your sins”

You need to follow the Prophet so that God loves you. God commanded the Prophet to tell the audience. And to you as you read the Quran. But, to follow a person will be easy if you unconditionally love that person concerned.

Do I have a choice in the relationship with the Prophet? I don’t and I have to love him unconditionally. In this way God will love me.

Hence, this is why I love Prophet Muhammad. :)

Why I love Prophet Muhammad – because he visited me

You might have read about Prophet Muhammad in books. However, can you see Prophet Muhammad? In dreams it’s possible.

I still remember the dream vividly. I was in an immigration office in some middle east country. I saw my passport was stamped and approved to travel. Upon enquiry, a voice told me that the people above love me.

Suddenly, I was sitting behind a man. Apparently a pilot in a chamber. I was transported to a different location atop a roof of a building with a blink of an eye. It looked like a 2-storey building.

The sky was pitch dark and clear. A cool breeze was blowing. My memory of my life was completely. I was engulfed in an immense tranqulity!

In that moment, I saw a man in white attire. First I saw him walked by the thatched partition. And then he approached me gently. A table was set. We were now facing each other.

After a while, he put forward his hand as a gesture to shake my hand. I shook his hand. The next moment I opened my eyes and I was in bed. I woke up from the dream. The peace did not go away – indescribable tranquility.

Prophet visited me

Upon the advice of a religious man, I attended a prayer group in a mosque on a Thursday. It was supposed to confirm whether the man I saw in my dream was actually Muhammad. That same night Prophet Muhammad  Rasool’Allah ﷺ visited me with an angel.

He (Rasool’Allah ﷺ ) was dressed in a light pale green attire, wearing a turban with a tail drop. They both came through the front door. My entire family witnessed this incident in that dream.

I was still not sure who was the man in my dream. I thought it could not have been the Prophet. I dreamt one more time.

I saw a pitched dark clear night sky. A strong light came from it. Eventually, turned into the word Muhammad in Arabic. This is to confirm that the man I shook hands with and the one who visited me was indeed the Prophet Muhammad Rasool’Allah ﷺ!

Those dreams had made me to love Prophet Muhammad Rasool’Allah ﷺ more deeply.

There is a saying that if a person sees the prophet in a dream, he sees him for the devil cannot impersonate him. If you see him in a dream you will see him while you’re awake. And those who shook hands with him will be with him in heaven (In sha Allah). :)
